The 3M 256-02-00 is an air purification system with 4 outlets which monitors (CO) carbon monoxide.
Air which enters the 4 stage filtration system may be contaminated with dirt, water, oil, rust, scale or vaporous hydrocarbons. As it passes through the 1st stage prefilter, particulate matter which is 3.0 microns & larger are retained. The air will then enter the 2nd prefilter stage which will trap particulate matter that is over 0.3 microns in size & coalesces liquid aerosol with a 99.97 percent efficiency rating. Liquid contaminates become trapped inside the lower prefilter chamber & expelled via an automatic float drain. The 3rd & 4th stages contain a odor absorbing bed of activated charcoal. The air then passes through the pressure regulator that is used for adjusting air pressure fed to your respirators. A filtered air sample is taken & passed on through a carbon monoxide (CO) monitor. The CO monitor will continuously check carbon monoxide concentrations & digitally display the concentration in (parts per million) ppm. A visual & audio alarm alerts the operator if the carbon monoxide concentration exceeds preset levels (10ppm for the USA - 5ppm for Canada).
